Bending components exhibit specific procedural characteristics. All expressions of these bending characteristics and also quality requirements together with tolerances must be defined and reviewed in order to classify a bending component as a waste part or a good-part. For the evaluation of acceptable expressions of characteristics on the bending component, the standard defines test characteristics and demonstrates methods for the documentation of the inspection criteria. For the respective test methods guidance is given for carrying out a measurement process capability test in accordance with VDA 5 are given.
