The guideline applies to stationary plants for the thermal treatment of waste not subject to surveillance, waste subject to surveillance or waste subject to special surveillance to the extent that the disposal of such wastes is not otherwise regulated by legislation in the induvidual case (e.g. Explosives Act, Nuclear Energy Act, Animal Carcass Disposal Act). Not covered by this guideline is the co-indineration of meat-and-bone meal. Requirements and general recommendations for this waste stream were published by the Federal Ministry for Environmental Affairs, Nature Conservation and Reactor Safety in February 2001.
