VDI 3467:2013-03

This guideline describes the state of art of facilities for the production of carbon and graphite materials including storing and transportation of raw- and auxiliary materials as well as of intermediate and final products, furthermore the input material preparation (milling and classification) independently of any legal demands of authorisation or of permission needed for these facilities. The handling and minimisation of waste material and of waste water quantities are taken into account in the description of the production steps.Emission data including detailed key data for particulates, vapour and gases, and toxic organic compounds (e. g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and emission abatement measures are described in detail for several different cases. The guideline is addressed to the manufacturers of carbon and electrographite materials and representatives of controlling authorities, testing laboratories, employers' liability insurance associations, architect's offices and planning offices. The data of the draft guideline have been up-dated compared to the issue of VDI 3467:1998-03 and an annex dealing with empiric data of emission control technology is added.
