The guideline concerns the production and processing of high-temperature insulation wool and products made from high-temperature wool and applies only in conjunction with Part 1. Guideline VDI 3469 Part 1 contains all the information common to all sectors of industry, in respect of technology, reducing emissions, measurement methods and literature references. Filaments or continuous fibres are not high-temperature wool and therefore not the subject of this VDI guideline.
