This guideline deals with the removal of gaseous pollutants in wet separators. In view of environmental protection criteria, absorbate treatment is to be considered to form an integral part of absorption processes for air pollution control. Furthermore, there are interactions between the waste gas cleaning process and the production process it serves, which have to be taken into account for optimum process design.
