The method described is suitable for determining the formaldehyde content in exhaust gases of, for example, fired plants , internal combustion engines or smoking plants, in air pollution emission control systems and in exhaust gases from, for example, enterprises manufacturing wood materials, foundries or chemical production processes and animal carcass exploitation.
