VDI 3951:2012-06

This guideline summarizes principles for the performance of emission measurements which shall ensure that emissions from plants are determined in a manner that provides representative and comparable results which can be evaluated consistently and allow monitoring of emission limits. These principles apply to individual measurements as well as the performance of functional tests and calibrations of automated emission measuring systems. Plant or technology specific conditions or requirements which require deviations from these principles are not covered by this guideline. This guideline is addressed especially to plant designers, plant operators, regulators, test laboratories and all persons and institutions needing within the scope of their tasks a summary of the basic requirements on the performance of emission measurements. This guideline does not give dispensation from the obligation to take into account the applicable metrological VDI Guidelines and DIN Standards.
