The standard serves an introduction to formal concept modelling for technical reliability. Using the terminology of reliability as an example, methods are introduced which help to structure and to build a conceptual system with class diagrams, Petri nets and ontological elements. Thus, a concept model can be created which serves as the foundation for unambiguous professional communication. The standard is addressed to engineers as well as other professional target groups and can also be applied to other areas.
