VDI 4089:2018-04

This standard defines and determines the technical features of wet cleaning machines for traffic zone cleaning of public circulation areas like streets and motorways that have to be free of impurities like oil which could have negative impact of the respective structure and the traffic safety. The standard is aimed at operators, users and manufacturers of wet cleaning machines, at the relevant testing organisations and the owners of road surfaces. The standard provides test and evaluation criteria for the assessment of the fundamental suitability of wet cleaning machines for the cleaning of road surfaces after oil spills under defined frame-work conditions.
