VDI 4100:2007-08

This guideline specifies three classes of noise protection in dwellings, flats, terraced houses and semi-detached houses with the aim of protecting persons from unacceptable and disturbing noise levels caused by different outside and inside noise sources. Higher sound protection classes are declared in order to achieve higher comfort in buildings from acoustical point of view. This guideline is a tool for the planner, architects, acoustic consultants, building owners, clients, landlords, tenants and buyers and sellers respectively of houses and dwellings.
