This standard amends and elaborates the requirements on the first quality assurance level (QAL1) specified in the standard series DIN EN 15267 for the performance test, the declaration of suitability and the certification of stationary measuring systems as well as the check of the quality management system of the manufacturer with respect to those aspects, which are relevant due to national regulations and specifications. This standard applies to all stationary measuring systems whose use is intended for emission monitoring in legally controlled areas. This standard is not applicable to individual components of measuring systems (e.g. analyser, sampling systems, sample conditioning systems). Furthermore, this standard specifies the requirements on test institutes and explains the declaration of suitable measuring systems. This standard is addressed to manufactures of stationary measuring systems for emission monitoring, to test institutes performing performance tests of such measuring systems, and to the authorities responsible for the declaration of suitability. Furthermore, it assists users of performance-tested measuring systems for emission monitoring in the operation of these systems.
