This standard specifies requirements on the determination of characteristics in the evaluation of emission measurements with continuously recording automatic measuring systems and corresponding data evaluation systems. It forms the basis for performance tests of data evaluation systems in the sense of the first quality assurance level (QAL1) according to DIN EN 14181. This standard covers the determination of standardised short-term averages, standardised short-term averages at oxygen reference conditions, validated short-term averages, rounded validated short-term averages, long-term averages and rounded long-term averages. This standard also covers the comparison of characteristics with limit values or other assessments standards. This standard is addressed to manufactures of data evaluation systems for emission monitoring, to test institutes performing performance tests of such systems, and to the authorities responsible for the declaration of suitability. Furthermore, it assists users of performance-tested data evaluation systems for emission monitoring in the operation of these systems.
