Measurement of airborne microorganisms and viruses in ambient air - Plant-related dispersion modelling for bioaerosols

Summary

In addition to measurements, bioaerosol immissions can also be assessed by means of dispersion modelling. Dispersion modelling is an important tool, especially for longer observation periods and forecasts. This guideline describes a standard method for the practical performance of dispersion modelling for bioaerosols emitting from one or multiple emission sources of a plant. The guideline bases on the requirements specified in Annex 3 of TA Luft and on the recommendations for performance and quality assurance of dispersion modelling given in guideline VDI 3783 Part 13. The guideline can be used within the framework of licensing procedures, measurement plannings and other scientific questions dealing with the dispersion of bioaerosols.
