VDI 4257 Blatt 1:2010-12

Guideline describes the general requirements to be taken into account in planning and performing emission measurements of microbial air pollutants at different source types. VDI 4257-1 considers bioaerosol emissions originating from conducted sources (based on the requirements specified by DIN EN 15259 sowie VDI 2066 bzw. DIN EN 13284), as well as from active area sources (e.g. biofilters) and passive area sources (e.g. non-ventilated composting heaps) based on the requirements specified by VD 3475-1 bzw. VDI 880. This guideline complements VDI 4257-2 dealing with the sampling of bioaerosol emissions with emission impingers.
