Planning of ambient air quality measurements - General rules
Summary
This guideline describes general rules which have to be followed when planning measurements to investigate air pollution outside buildings and vehicles. It allows the specification of requirements on the description of the measurement objective, the analysis of previous knowledge, the measurement strategy, the measurement technique, the data evaluation, the measurement report and the organisation in the framework of measurement planning. The standard form of a measurement plan in the annex of this guideline can be used as a template for the structure and design of a measurement plan. This guideline is addressed to everyone involved in the planning, performance or evaluation of ambient air quality measurements. The contents of this guideline can be used by clients and contractors alike as a reference, for example, for formulating requirements and performance specifications for the investigation of air quality.
