Management systems can serve to plan and to monitor fleets of industrial trucks. By means of information from these systems, the fleet operation can be optimised and improvements be identified. The standard serves operators and manufacturers as a guideline on the creation and functional operation of fleet management systems for industrial trucks. It also describes a possible standardised interface between the industrial truck and the control unit and the data transmission.
