The standard provides an overview for operators as well as manufacturers of hollow belt conveyors, which must be taken into account prior to installation and operation in order to achieve the greatest possible energy efficiency when transporting the material to be conveyed. This standard does not compete with DIN 22101, which is decisive for the calculation and dimensioning, but conveys fundamental contexts that are important for energy requirements in the simplest possible form.
