The document applies to warehouse types with load-bearing racks. The goods are stored in and/retrieved from the storage locations by automatic operating systems (e. g. storage and retrieval systems). These storage and retrieval systems (RBS) are not bound to a warehouse lane (rack aisle) but can change between different warehouse lanes. This aisle change can be achiefed using different technologies (e. g. storage and retrieval systems with transfer devices or curve-going storage and retrieval systems). I also applies to warehouse systems with so-called mobile rack systems if these operate automatically.
