The document supplies to automated circulation storage systems. In these storage systems the individual storage locations move horizontally (e.g. carousel storage system) or vertically (e.g. paternoster racking installation) with respect to a comtinuous, self-contained belt. The individual storage levels or storage columns can habe a separate or common drive. The goods are stored in and/or retrieved from the storage locations by aut storage and retrieval machines (here: RBS). Such RBS are frequently stationary.
