Summary
The standard covers the analysis and presentation of vibrations. The standard define fix uniform rules for the presentation of vibration results in order to ensure their comparability. Vibration analyses are required when assessing the state of an engine and the influences on man and the environment, they are necessary for the identification of causes and the elimination or reduction of vibrations, for the condition monitoring of machines and plants as well as for the error detection. This standard is intended for all persons who carry out vibration analyses and wish to document their results permanently and comprehensibly, whether in their own archive for future comparisons, for trend analyses or as a basis for forecasts, either in the form of technical reports or publications.
