VDI 5581:2011-11 (R2016)

The guideline briefly introduces the manufacturing process as well as the iterative design procedure for high precision replicative manufacturing for precision glass moulding of optical elements with aspheric and free form surfaces. The necessary measurement procedures and devices for surface form tests and surface quality tests of the mould tool as well as of the optical element are introduced. Measurement procedures for testing of the glass blanks are described as well.
