This standard describes the requirements to be met in order to implement a technical monitoring. Furthermore, interfaces to building management and operation are described. This standard is intended for use particularly by planners, owners, facility managers, and system integration planners. Essentially, this standard specifies the interfaces to other building services. The technical realisation in terms of hard- and software is not stipulated. Goals and benefits of technical monitoring are pointed out.
