Summary
This guideline applies to quarter turn valves (having, e.g., a spherical or conical closure member) with nominal sizes between DN 10 and DN 250. The nominal size DN designates mating flanges or screw joints by which to connect the valve to the pipeline. The seat width (bore) may be equal to, or less than, the nominal width.
