Summary
This standard deals with the specification of microgeometric surface texture in technical documentation. With the aid of a comprehensive range of examples, it particularly shows the form that a specification should take when it is necessary to depart from 'standard' specifications. A knowledge of the terms, definitions and characteristic parameters of surface measurement is assumed (see VDI/VDE 2602 Part 1 (in preparation) and Part 2).
