Summary
Image correlation techniques are widely used in many fields of science and technology and can be used for a wide range of measurement tasks. Every user of a measuring system based on image correlation techniques or users of an evaluation software for such a system must ensure by suitable methods that the system or the software is suitable for the intended task. This standard contains practical acceptance and monitoring procedures for the assessment of measuring systems based on image correlation techniques with regard to their accuracy.
