This guideline describes a method for acceptance testing of the specification of a contour-measuring system, as given by its manufacturer; the method relies on the tactile stylus method with two axes for measuring distances, radii, straightness and angles. This guideline also specifies a reverification test allowing the user to verify the conformance with the specification of the contour-measuring system at regular intervals. The acceptance and reverification tests described in this guideline are exclusively for use of tactile styli.
