Measurement results are only complete with the indication of the associated uncertainty of measurement. The standard describes a procedure for the determination of the uncertainty of form measurements on the basis of measurements of standards. The establishment of a mathematical model of the measurement, the investigation of influence values, and the determination of the expanded uncertainty of measurement are described in addition to the gauge and measurement standard requirements. The application of the procedure is supplemented by examples.
