VDI/VDE 2647:2011-03

The guideline defines a procedure for the evaluation and specification of the efficiency of strength-operated assembly tools for threaded fastening elements. The defined procedure gives manufacturers of force and manually operated tools a possibility to offer their products under correlated technical specifications. The guideline specifies a laboratory achievement testing method. It gives instructions, what and how to test and how the test data are to evaluate and be represented. The guideline is valid for tools with a work area of typically 0,5 Nm to 1 kNm, which produce a continuous torque process and also for production tools (measuring torque wrenches for the production employment).
