The standard describes the objectives and potential benefits of automated testing in the pharmaceutical environment. On the one hand criteria are presented in order to make the use of test automation successful. Furthermore recommendations, which can be selected as suitable tools and verified, are given. In addition to numerous valuable details also some pitfalls and misunderstandings are pointed out. This standard is used in the planning and implementation of automated testing of software applications in the pharmaceutical environment.
