The standard presents a clear and systematic definition of the implementation of a virtual commissioning project (VICO) for automation technology with the aim of establishing VICO in the field of automation technology. In doing so, the specifications, recommendations and issues can be applied across domains. The standard is addressed to those which have direct and indirect contact with VICO, which includes: commissioning engineers, decision makers, technical sales engineers, production and plant planners, automation technicians, software developers and engineers, electrical planners.
