Depending on the application and the existing power supply control valves are operated by pneumatic actuators, electrically or electro-hydraulically. This standard sets general calculation methods, recommendations and requirements for pneumatic, electrical and electro-hydraulic actuators to enable a reliable and safe operation in industrial plants.
