The guideline defines general requirements for the calibration of electrical measuring instruments. The guideline defines and establishes a uniform, industry-wide basis for the test monitoring for electrical equipment. The guideline also contains general definitions that apply to the application of Part 3 and the following parts of the series of guidelines. Therefore, Part 3 and the following parts of the series of guidelines are to be applied only in conjunction with Part 1.
