The guideline defines a procedure for the calibration of oscilloscopes. This account both analog Oscilloscopes (AO) and digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) as well as Samplingoscilloscopes and transient recorders, as well as connected probes. Described are preparation of calibration, parameters and their definitions as well as the evaluation and documentation of the calibration results. Also, detailed examples for the determination the measurement uncertainty of calibration are given in the annex. Uniform operating instructions for the calibration evaluation, and documentation are given to the users and manufacturers of oscilloscopes. As a result, the comparability of the determined calibration results is secured.
