VDI/VDE/DKD 2638:2008-10

It is the objective of this guideline to create a uniform terminology for force transducers which allows technical data to be compared and shall be applied in data sheets and publications. By the definitions the user will be enabled above all to obtain sufficiently detailed information for the selection and appropriate use of force transducers. Some of the definitions relate specifically to force transducers operating on the strain gauge principle, whereas others are applicable to force transducers with integrated amplifier electronics.
