This standard applies to dimensions for which no tolerances are given, as well as to tolerances of form and position related to structural members typical in shipbuilding and repeatedly used in hull assemblies such as bulkheads, decks and double bottoms. Structural members for which no general tolerances can be defined because of the variety of existing configurations are not covered by this standard. If required, tolerances for these structural members shall be defined in the relevant production drawings.
