This standard is applicable to grade GL-K3 three link adapter pieces used on vessels at ambient temperatures down to -20 °C. A three link adapter piece consists of a common stud link according to VG 84529, an enlarged stud link according to VG 84530 and an end link according to VG 84531. They are components of stud link anchor grade GL-K3 chain cables according to VG 84510 and are mainly used to fasten the stud link anchor chain cable to the cable clench in the chain locker.
