Graphical symbols according to this standard are used for life-saving appliances and boats which are contained in the technical product documentation of vessels of the German Navy. They are contained, for example, in the 'Ship safety plan for installation and equipment', in schematic drawings and plans, overview drawings and similar abstract representations.
