Summary
This standard is applicable on diaphragm valves on vessels for the German Navy with about 85 % passage. Valves with membranes made of NBR are used in piping for fresh cooling water, sea water, fuel F-75, aviation fuel F-44, lubricating oil, compressed air containing oil, bilge water and sanitary sewage at Operating temperatures to 80 °C. Valves with EPDM diaphragms are used in piping for hot water and fresh water at operating temperatures up to 130 °C.
