Summary

This standard is applicable to spreader bars used for the spreading-out of safety nets according to VG 85249-1 along ship-to-shore gangways according to VG 85225-2 and VG 85225-3. The spreader bars are use on the shore-side of the ship-to-shore gangway when there are no respective lashing points for safety nets on the pier. Holders for the spreader bar according to VG 85249-3.
