This standard applies to the marking of maintenance points of the maintenance groups oils, greases, cooling and hydraulic fluids as well as important detachable connections on Bundeswehr vehicles an equipment. It does not apply to aircraft of the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) and vessels of the Bundesmarine (German Navy); for those other standards apply. The marking of maintenance points according to this standard serves for a fast identification, a reliable distinction between maintenance types and points as well as for avoiding confusion. Due to corresponding marking, the type of maintenance is clearly defined. Maintenance will thereby be alleviated and accelerated.
