This generic standard applies to in combination with the detail standards for heat shrinkable components, in the following named components. This generic standard includes the general requirements and provisions. It contains statements relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, i. e. properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etc. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable to the respective components. If statements of the detail standard differ from those given in the generic standard, statements of the detail standard shall apply.
