This generic specification in combination with the detail specifications applies to mounting and marking parts (in the following named components). The generic specification includes the general rules requirements and tests, which apply to all components. It contains positive informations however only as far as unchanging engineering requirements and test conditions are involved, i. e. properties and provisions that apply to all types of components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law etc. Additional to this generic specification for the components detail specifications are valid. If the data of detail specification differs from those given in the generic specification, the data of detail specification shall prevail.
