It is the application of legislative requirements as specified in WWH-OBD GTR and specific VOBD extensions to support operational readiness of land systems. The standard provides an overview about all parts of the series VG 96922 and their specific content and relationship to support operational readiness. In addition, examples about the use cases related to status information are described. The use cases describe the 'real world' actions to be taken in case a system notifies an on-board problem and the steps to be performed to diagnose the problem either remotely or during a repair and maintenance activity.
