This standard applies for the appropriate design and application of devices for receiving samples to be tested on a hardness tester for hardness testing e. g. according to DIN EN ISO 4516, DIN EN ISO 4545-1, DIN EN ISO 6506-1, DIN EN ISO 6507-1, DIN EN ISO 6508-1, DIN EN ISO 16859-1, DIN EN ISO 14577-1, DIN EN ISO 14577-4, DIN 50157-1, DIN 50158-1, or DIN 50159-1. In the hardness test, the samples are generally workpieces.
