DIN EN 62287-1:2018-01

This part of the International Standard specifies the minimum operational and performance requirements, methods of testing and required test results for Class B shipborne AIS equipment using CSTDMA techniques. This standard is applicable for AIS equipment used on craft that are not covered by the mandatory carriage requirement under SOLAS Chapter V. This third edition replaces the second edition together with the editorial corrections according to its Amendment 1 and adds the option of direct synchronisation from an internal UTC source to the synchronisation method. It updates references to the current recommendation ITU-R M.1371-5.
