The standard applies to the transport of plane concrete elements with a loading width of up to 3,00 m. It describes a selection of appropriate procedures and methods for securing plane concrete elements on road vehicles for freight transportation, without claiming completeness. In intermodal transport, for example, for combined transport by rail, or ship on waterways or seaways, other rules or regulations may apply to securing loads. In this case, the load may need to be additionally secured when transitioning to other modes of transport. This standard is based on studies on the determination of coefficients of friction as well as the current state of load securing recommendations for ceiling and wall panels made of concrete.
