Summary

This guideline covers the control of emissions during production of friction linings. It is valid only in conjunction with guideline VDI 3469 Part 1. Plants for producing friction linings in which >10 kg/h phenoplasts or other synthetic resin binders are used (4th BImSchV. No. 5.9, Column 2) require authorization and are subject to the Federal Clean Air Act (BImSchG) with its subsidiary regulations.
