Environmental meteorology - Emissions of gases, odours and dusts from diffuse sources - Fundamentals.

Summary

The standard outlines the origin and the characteristics of emissions of gases, odours, and dusts from diffuse sources, and presents possibilities how these emissions can be quantified. In contrast to defined sources, diffuse emissions mostly occur without exhaust gas flows. In addition, no limitations of mass concentrations in the exhaust gas flows can be defined. Therefore, to limit diffuse emissions only structural and operational measures can be performed. The standard is helpful for experts in the field of air quality, for plant managers, and administrative bodies.
