The guideline describes the current state of the art in housing techniques and emission reduction measures in pig, cattle, poultry, and horse husbandry. In addition, the guideline contains conventional values for the emissions of odorants, ammonia, and dust from animal housing facilities. The consired sources of emissions are housing facilities, adjacent facilities and paddocks. The guideline does not apply to the free-range husbandry of animals.
