This standard specifies methods for determining the measurement uncertainty of measured values obtained by random emission measurements with manual or automated measurement methods. The measurement uncertainty determined in accordance with this standard can be used, for example, to assess the results of individual measurements for monitoring emission limit values. The procedure for determining measurement uncertainty as described in this standard applies to the use of standard reference methods or other validated measurement methods within the range of validity specified by the user. This standard implements the general recommendations of the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (ISO/IEC Guide 98-3) and the specific requirements of DIN EN ISO 20988.
